As a business we recognise 5 key areas that contribute to corporate social responsibility: our customers, our people, our local communities, our suppliers and our environment.

Our customers
At Core Supplies we support a variety of customers by providing products to essentially meet the needs of councils, universities, charities etc.
We continually work to ensure that we are providing the best service for our customers, and the Financial Conduct Authority initiative ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ is core to this aim. We ensure our communications between us and our customers are clear, whilst we endeavour to provide products that meet their varied needs.
Our people
We respect and value all of our staff as individuals and are committed to creating a culture of inclusion and diversity within our workplace.
We provide access to training for all of our staff enabling them to be in the best possible position to carry out their job to the highest level, and fulfil their potential within our business. Regardless of their role or level, everyone at Core Supplies has the opportunity to access a variety of developmental opportunities to help realise their full potential. At Core Supplies we are keen to support our colleagues who volunteer or fundraise for charities and can provide company support to facilitate time in the community.
We are proud to have established a partnership with charities such as Evie’s Gift. This charity was carefully selected, as we wanted to make a positive contribution to a charity that is close to our hearts.
Our suppliers
At Core Supplies our reputation is extremely important to us and to help us protect this, we won’t knowingly do business with an organisation that doesn’t share our commitment to dealing with stakeholders fairly or ethically. Our approach to procurement is based on the principles of competitive tendering and dealing with suppliers in a fair and open manner.
Our environment
At Core Supplies we believe in the ideology of caring for the environment, thus meaning we continually strive to incorporate environmental good practice into our workplace. We do this by taking a sustainable approach to waste management and minimise our use of resources across the business.
We are also focussed on improving our energy efficiency across our business, we do this by managing our wastage responsibly and reducing our carbon emissions. We also provide the opportunity to use less paper in our office and minimise business travel by providing teleconferencing facilities to help colleagues reduce the need to travel for meetings.
Overall, we ultimately understand and respect that as a business it is our responsibility to do business in a way that overall protects and improves the environment for our future generations.

We support this charity as it is very close to our hearts and holds great accomplishments with the support they provide to families in hard times.
They focus on two main aims:
'To give immediate financial assistance to parents whose children have been admitted to hospital with a life threatening or life limiting condition.'
'To fund research into the rare brain cancer that took her from us too soon.' (Evie's Gift 2018)
